Meet Randa Clark
Randa Clark designs with integrity and detail. Touching the diversity of the arts since childhood, passion drives her energy to envision the receiving person to encounter a better state of mind through her work. While searching for a home in the Chicago area, Randa walked through the ambiance of staged houses and loved the idea of how to enhance the character of a house to embrace the prospected buyer. "Staging is presenting a home in a different emotion."
Antique, almost antique, and treasured relics come with stories and wonderful memories. Born of parents from the great depression, Randa has been redesigning all her life, enhancing relics in refreshed décor. “Some treasures never loose their need to be in your presence. They only request to be presented in new light now and again.”
Randa holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design from La Roche College in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, a Staging Certification from Transformations Staging and Redesign School in Jacksonville, Florida, and an Associates of Science degree in Medical Laboratory from Community College of Allegheny County in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She is an Allied member of ASID (American Society of Interior Designers) and a member of RESA (Real Estate Staging Association). Randa serves on the board of CFCCC (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, and Chemical Sensitivity Coalition of Chicago) and is founder and past president of The Greater Pittsburgh Chemical Sensitivity Network an affiliate of H.E.A.L. (Human Ecology Action League).
In her former life Randa worked in the medical laboratory industry. While studying Interior Design, she attended a presentation of a residential design for a client diagnosed as chemically sensitive. Her thesis, “Tainted Interiors a Matter of Life and Breath’, married her medical diagnostic knowledge with the Interior Design world. A research that later became personal with a diagnosis of Chemical Sensitivity. Randa has had asthma and allergies all her life and chemical sensitivities for over 20 years, understanding personally the need to create a safe space. “Interior Design Consultation is deeper than sustainable products; the health issue dictates the direction of the design. It is my passion to pay it forward for those in need."
